It is very difficult to work with people who have such tight rope perceptions. One thing that can make you feel a little at ease is to be thankful that you are not narrow minded and that you have the will and reasoning not to become what you are against the most. They think they have power but if you DON'T ALLOW him to hurt you by ignoring his pettines and not making him so important is what will make you be the winner. In the mean time look for another job too while you are at it.

Keep your head up. It's just a job, and a boss who expects that much out of you without appreciating what you're doing already isn't going to be a boss for very long. Do your work at work, put on your best shit-eatin grin when you see your boss, and don't worry about it from there.

My two cents, at least.

I didn't see the original piece but I would'nt make too big a deal out of it. Just like the fool who will flip you off in traffic, the internet provides a safe place for one to lob Criticism Bombs" at others.

Just a FYI, you might want to consider more judicious use of commas.

Keep it up!

Know thyself. That's the main thing. Also, learn to let criticism make you a better person. I was put in a remedial writing class in college because I wrote a lax entrance essay and I owe good deal of my success as a writer today to it and also to one particularly snarky professor I had the following year.... If I ever win a major televised award those people will be thanked.

Be Well,

Mike

Since the dawn of right-wing radio, any idiot with a mouth now has "journalistic integrity", and them Internets act as an echo chamber for any one with a modem. That includes conspiracy theorist pinkos as well. You should probably just take comfort in the fact that something you said got such a reaction out of someone that they were scared enough of your words to try to belittle them.

Don't be so sensitive, some people have a bad day and your grammar may have struck someone who is super-sensitive about such things and made them write a comment which was not well thought out. Check your blog above for mis-placed words.

I'm not so certain. I think Obama is little more than Charisma.

I also think that he didn't pick Romney because the two just don't get along.... at least I think that is part of it. Not to say you are wrong about what you said either.

I don't really like McCain, either, to be honest.

I do like Palin though. I would love to have her as my Governor, Mayor, or Rep, or Senator. I almost feel like her convictions will go to waste as a VP though.

Ummmm. Whoever wrote the above comment has very little knowledge of how our precious Bible was assembled. That is right, assembled. While I admire your villagance and dedication to your bible(that is a wonderful thing- I myself would hate a world without the bible), I also think it is important to know where your bible actually comes from.

Before we go around pointing fingers at religions for being hungry for more scripture, keep in mind that the bible is NOT in chronological order. It is just so convenient that when religious leaders VOTED on which books (ie book of john, book of Mark) to include in the bible, they made sure that the aforementioned scripture was at the end. I personally always interpreted it to mean manipulating scripture for evil purposes. Also, go to your bookstore, and you can probably find several copies of the bible (by different publishers) use different wording (adding and taking away?).

As for "some guy who said that God gave him a msg through a rock in New York," I sometimes see that as odd, but I also happen to remember a certain someone who claimed to relieve a message from God in a burning bush, and suddenly I realize that if the rock thing is impossible, then a bush probably is too.... and there goes my 10 commandments .

I guess I am a little sensitive because I have known so many great mormons. Yes, many of them are odd, but in my opinion christlike- at least the ones that took their religion seriously were.

As for the "reformed Mormons," or "FLDS," I couldn't really say. I have never met any from that spinoff religion, and who knows, they might be a cult.
